We all know famed chef Giada De Laurentiis from her Emmy-Award winning cooking shows, but now we can actually indulge in her delicacies, at her first-ever restaurant! GIADA,which is located inside The Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas, stands parallel to Caesars Palace and boasts spectacular panoramic views overlooking the famed Bellagio fountains, Caesars Palace and The Paris Hotel’s Eiffel Tower.
Giada’s charming Las Vegas eatery is filled with perfectly set lighting, which makes you feel comfortable and homey, almost as though you have been transported away from the “Adult- Disney” styled Vegas, and into a reality where cozy chic compliments GDL’s creative edible creations! Throw in the warm colors on the walls and furniture, comfortable and cozy seating with roomy tables, and these huge retractable windows, which sets your mind on a trip in itself because your literally eating atop the strip! And… just as sweet as the Chef herself are the small personal touches of home- like the etched metal chandeliers quoted with intricate sayings from Giada herself. Honestly, it makes you feel as though, si sta mangiando a casa Giada.
The menu couldn’t be more perfect, it consists of Italian cuisine, influenced by a refreshed wave of California chic; for example, the lemon spaghetti, marsala herb chicken meatballs, or the rosemary focaccia and lemon flatbread… blend Giada’s two worlds into perfect harmony. De Laurentiis makes her spin on lighter soul food known and present in all of her dishes, while simultaneously staying true to those classic Italian recipes passed down from generazione to generazione.
But let’s be real here… we all know how hard it is to dine out with allergies and personally I just LOVE it when the first question I am asked at a restaurant is… Are there any Allergies? Well GIADA’s made sure to nail her vegan and gluten-free choices, which makes the eatery a perfect place for everyone in your family to feel as they can be a Foodie for the evening and indulge their senses into a cloud of deliciousness!
The Cesar Salad was perfectly seasoned with citrus afterthoughts and dressed with crunchy anchovies, my Gluten-Free Vegan Tomato Basil Pasta was cooked and marinated to perfection, blending notes of light and airy flavors into one dish, replicating the sensation of a sweet freshly picked basket of tomatoes from the garden and twirling them onto your plate… My mom and dad were enamored by the foods the second they nibbled on the Crab Salad with mascarpone & chive Crostini and they continued to fall in love with the shrimp, lemon & basil Spaghetti and the Pappardelle with pork ragout, arugula and freshly grated parmigiano reggiano. I have 2 words… Absolute Perfection!
Did I mention, they have cute waiters to boot… Our Valentino, was quite the charmer and very attentive to the details of our GIADA experience, making sure every moment was special in its own right, so deservingly he broke down the notes of flavor nestled into each dish, so we could better understand what makes the tasty food so special.
As your chef’s prepare the fresh pasta, bread and desserts in GIADA’s open kitchen, you become enamored with the scents of the freshly baked rosemary bread, marinating antipasti and then your senses are transported to an entirely different universe when 20 minutes after you wrap up dinner, your lemon soufflé makes its way out of the oven and onto your table (It’s a MUST, just in case you are questioning which dessert to snag up)!
Take your time when you go to GIADA’s, there is no rush to streamline seating as most restaurants, who seem to assembly line your experience… at GIADA’s it’s about soaking in every second of the experience, appreciating the moment with your friends & family, and introducing your tastebuds to flavors you never expected would blend into cohesion so flawlessly!
