5 Things You Learn In Your 20s

Someone told me the other day your 20s are when you grow up the most and develop into the person you will most likely be for the rest of your life.

Now, I am not sure if that is the case for everyone since each off our journeys is different but amid the growing up, you learn a lesson or two.

1. Getting drunk may not always be the best idea.

So in your early college days you may have been able to take what seemed like a dozen shots of tequila and feel fine the next morning  but as you progress in your 20s, that is not the case.  You’re body doesn’t recuperate as fast and you may not feel like vegging out all day Sunday.  Needless to say, you keep track a bit more now.

2. You don’t have to go out every weekend day.

The hustle and bustle of figuring out what to do in every moment of the weekend is not necessary anymore. Why? Chances are you have a job and may want to rest on a Friday night. It’s okay to slow down a bit but don’t become boring. You’re not old yet

3. The person you date may end up being the person you marry

This is a weird thought but possible. I mean how likely would it be that your college boyfriend ended up as your husband? The deeper you go into your 20s, the more you realize this may be the person you marry. So take some time to weed out the BS boys.

4. Go beyond the looks.

Some take a bit longer to figure this out but it’s true, you need more than looks to keep things hot. Yeah that guy at the bar is cute and would be great to hook up with him but you may be finding you need a bit more than the night.  Like good conversation, a fun personality, good sense of humor. That makes things stick, not just looks.

5.  It’s okay to constantly change.

You don’t have to have all the answers now. It’s okay to constantly change your mind and go through the process of figuring out what you want out of this life. We’re all in the same thing.
