Looking for an out of the ordinary adventure and some great Mexican food. Try El Santo Coyote en Homestead.
This hidden Mexican haven even has a small village in the back meant to immerse you into the experience even more.
The only thing you’ll notice while driving by is the orange color of the building with a sign which says El Santo Coyote.
Once you walk inside, you’ll notice the variety of color decorations in each room which are meant to look like a home.
My favorite room is the kitchen!
The best part is the homemade salsa made right at the table. It’s free with your order.
Speaking of your order, try their delicious queso fundido to start. It’s melted cheese with mexican sausage served with their homemade tortillas.
Next up… try their chilaquiles which is fried tortilla with chopped steak with rice and refried beans and fresh cheese to top it off!
If you’re not a meat or chicken person, try their octopus tacos! Not into meat at all? They have a great vegan menu.
For dessert, get their delicious sweet apple chimichanga with vanilla ice-cream.
Walk off the meal in the small recreation of a Mexican village behind the restaurant. It’s not a typical night but it’s definitely a little adventure accompanied by good food! Don’t forget the good company!
