One of my favorite indulgences is Pumpkin French Toast, it’s not only as Easy As 1-2-3, but it’s delicious and so gourmet it will leave your guests thinking it was take-out!
The Y Key... Kings Hawaiian Rolls... You read right, those buttery little sweet rolls that sit propped up by the deli at your market are the best for French Toast! I don’t know Y, but they just make French Toast better! BUT, if you can’t get your hands on these bad boys, try for Challah Bread!
Mini Pumpkin French Toast:
In a mixing bowl combine…
1/4 Cup Canned Pumpkin Purée (Libby’s is always a favorite)
1 Tbsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon Sugar
A Pinch of Salt
Slice Kings Hawaiian Rolls into 1/4 Inch Slices
In a stovetop Grill Pan at Medium-High heat, sizzle 1 Tsp. Earth Balance (Butter Substitue)
Soak Bread Slices for 2 Minutes on each side and place on Pan to Sear … For 2 1/2 Minutes on each side…
Plate your Pumpkin French Toast, Butter and Maple Syrup as you too with Sprinkled Fairy Dust of Powdered Confectioners Sugar!
If there is one thing I can promise you, your plates will be clean as can be… And if you truly want the full Fall effect, you can include a small side of Fresh Cranberry Sauce as the perfect accompaniment!
