We’re all always looking to make things more simple, but doing that can sometimes get a bit complicated. Especially when it comes to breaking your daily routine and rethinking how you run your life, letting go of habits that may no be helping you.
I’ve been there and it may be one more thing to do but these small moves may help you more than you think. Sometimes, we’re the only ones who get in our own way and we don’t even realize it.
Part of simplifying your life is thinking about what you need and what you don’t, what you use and what you don’t. Now, this takes a certain level of honesty with yourself on what should be in your home. Decluttering your home will help create a safe space for you, helping you feel more relaxed and at ease, at least in one place. Who knows, it may feel good to get rid of things!
What’s getting you down? What do you feel is weighing you down? Whether it’s a person or a situation, try to think about how you can either solve it or get red of it, leaving more room for positive things. Act with intention when it comes to this. Don’t just say you want to change something, back it up with actions. If you need to write something down to remind yourself, do it!
Plan It Out
Take an afternoon for yourself, even if it’s just an hour to try to plan out your bills and any other significant dates within the month. Only go month by month. That’s part of keeping things simple. Take it step by step. Doing this will help take some of the anxiousness out of your week, so at least you know what is coming and prepare if needed.
Go Back To The Basics
Think about the simple things that would make you happy. What would help you feel good about yourself? Go back to the basic question of what makes you happy, something many of us forget to ask ourselves. Once you get the answers, do it and remind yourself to keep doing the things that make you happy.
