Yes the rumors are true, the “Full House” millennial’ generation grew up with is about to get a little bit Fuller!
Just last night on ‘Jimmy Kimmel LIVE’ Uncle Jesse, pardon me– I mean John Stamos, announced that NETFLIX is set to bring back a rebooted version of the 90’s series for 13 Episode stake in 2016. The series will now be slated as “Fuller House” starring the eldest of the Tanner girls Candace Cameron Bure’s character, D.J. Tanner, along with middle daughter Stephanie Tanner (played by actress Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.’s best friend, Kimmy Gibbler, (the one and only epitome of a quirky sidekick in Andrea Barber).
Much like in the original 1987 series which aired on ABC until 1995, where Bob Saget’s character, Danny Tanner is left to care for his 3 daughters in the wake of his wife’s death… Now the tables have slightly shifted and Gibbler moves in to help D.J. raise her family.
With Stamos producing the show and making guest star appearances, along with other members of the original “Full House” cast, like: Bob Saget, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin… we know this good’ole classic family series will flood our hearts reminiscing on the memories of our childhood.
In a joint statement today show exec producers Robert L. Boyett, Thomas L. Miller and Jeff Franklin said: “The continued support of ‘Full House’ fans of all ages for the last 28 years has been astounding. It is an honor and a thrill to catch up with these beloved characters and explore their lives today…We are as excited as our fans to finally bring ‘Full House’ back to life.”
P.S. According to FORBES “In 2014, primetime reruns averaged 1.5 million viewers, up 7 percent from 2013.”
