Staying positive, curious and always exploring are key to helping achieve your dreams, and now according to a new study it also helps you stay healthy.
While dreams vary from person to person, one thing stays the same. You never stop growing, learning or being in awe of this world.
Awe and positivity on the path to achieving your dreams are also emotions that now may save your health in the long run.
Researchers have now linked positive emotions especially the awe we feel, with lower levels of pro-inflammatory proteins called cytokines, according to a new study by UC Berkley.
What does this mean for you?
These proteins actually signal your immune system to work harder which can be good and bad because very high levels of the protein in your body are harmful. Elevated levels have been associated with disorders like type-2 diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease and clinical depression.
So while trying to reach your dreams, don’t forget to be in awe, feel wonder and enjoy the beauty of the journey, all feelings that promote healthier levels of cytokines.
After all, the path to reaching your dreams is also tied to your physical well-being, why not make it the most enjoyable journey through life.
