Honoring Leaders of our US of A


Today was a one of a kind inspirational Monday, because it is that one day of the year we celebrate those who have served with humility and strength, guiding our nation through good times and bad.

This federal holiday originally implemented by an Act of Congress in 1879, is celebrated on the third Monday of February annually and was actually first enacted to honor the birth of George Washington, the first President of the United States.

Washington’s Birthday doesn’t just honor his accomplishments and leadership as the founding ‘Father of his Country

Y Fact: Washington was a unanimous choice by the Electoral College to become our nations 1st President, namely because he was thought of as unifying force for the new republic!

So as you sit at home this evening, take the time to not just remember all past, present and future Presidents who have taken office, but honor their courage to lead this nation… And while you are saying your prayers, don’t forget to pray for strength and wisdom for our President!
