Craving Cauliflower?!

If you have been pinning away lately or find yourself following Oprah on social media… you would be quite aware of this ‘cauliflower craze‘ that has taken over the foodie waves! Anything from cauliflower pasta sauce, as a substitute to cheesy white sauces, to one of my new personal favorites- Oven Broiled Cauliflower! My first time worked like a charm and I just had to share the recipe with each and every one of you Y’s!

It’s as Easy as 1-2-3…

1. Purchase a nice sized cauliflower (not too big and not too small)… Peel from the green leaves and slice the root so that you have a flat surface!

2. Place a large pot of water to boil with 1 Tbsp. Of Kosher Salt and Blanch the vegetable. (Blanching is a process by which you flash boil a vegetable for just about 5 Minutes and as promptly as you drain/ remove it from the boiling water you flash the vegetables with cold water for a few seconds to stop the cooking process).

3. Place blanched cauliflower upon a lined cookie sheet, drizzle with Olive Oil and a sprinkle of brown sugar. Broil for 20 Minutes. Drizzle Olive Oil and Slice as if it were a Pie!
