La Camaronera Restaurant & Fish Market is an established place in the neighborhood of Little Havana and in Miami for about 30 years give or take. While it deserves the fancy dress up of a nice place, this modest restaurant does not have any bells and whistles, except for their delicious and fresh seafood. This joint was featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieri.
When you first walk in, it looks like a typical seafood place but the fast and friendly staff make it feel a lot more like you have stepped into someone’s home and they’re feeding you their fresh caught food.
Now, all their seafood is prepared Cuban style.
For starters, try their conch fritters. Make sure to dip them in the sauce!
If you’re really hungry try their local favorite, the shrimp tacos with a side of tostones which are mashed and fried plantains.
If you want even more food or just want something different try their fresh snapper with their Black eye pea hush puppies.
If you want a little something for later, they even have their own fish market so you can take their fresh seafood home.
It’s not only a great place to eat, but a great place to enjoy the company especially with their great service.
