NYE: Last Minute Lobster


We all understand how horrid it felt, the instant we realized New Years Eve 2014 fell on a Tuesday this year! For some reason noise makers and beads sound A LOT less exciting, after your boss had a moody day, since the Dow fell 0.02% following a steady two week climb. So @TheYLife thought why not just stay in and have a simple, quiet meal for two… open a bottle of bubbly with a midnight kiss and call it a day!

This is when I decided to share with you…

L’s NYE Lobster Rolls:

First off, pick-up two or three frozen Lobster Tails at your grocery today

Tuesday, leave the Lobster’s to thaw in the fridge, when you leave for work

Once Thawed, De-Vein the Lobsters and remove from shell

Steam Lobsters: 15-20 Minutes (Double- Steaming Pot)

Set Lobsters aside @ Room Temperature to cool

In a mixing bowl…


3/4 Cup Red Onion, Diced

1/2 Cup Dill Pickles, Diced

1 Cup Celery, Diced

Once Cooled Dice/ Mince Lobster


1 Cup Mayonnaise

2 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard or Aoili Garlic Mustard

1/4 Tsp. Salt

1/4 Tsp. Fresh Ground Pepper

1/4 Tsp. Herbes De Provence

Place Lobster Mix into the Refrigerator to cool for 1 Hour

Slice open and lightly toast long buns…

Fill and Enjoy!

P.S. Serve Lobster Rolls alongside a Fresh bag of Cape Cod Chips, Cold White Asparagus Salad and a Pickle
